EY & NetExpat - Relocating Partner Survey, 2017/05/02

Great news: NetExpat, in global partnership with EY, has launched the largest ever survey focusing on the relocating partner. The primary objective of this extensive survey is to provide a better understanding of the complex issues that relocating partners/spouses face whilst on assignment. Over the next few months we will be surveying approximately 500 corporations, international organizations and close to 5000 mobile employees, relocating partners/spouses and HR professionals involved in mobility. The survey will be conducted every two years.

We already have more than 100 corporations confirming their participation since we launched this survey, and we would love to have the Magellan Network members join as well.

Data will be gathered through two separate modules:

1. The Benchmarking module: the objective of this module is to compare current practices in partner/spousal support amongst international employers. The Benchmarking module is accessible by invitation only to the official respondent designated by each participating organization. The person answering this module should have full authority and understanding of the International Mobility policy. All answers will be aggregated with other organizations to reveal industry and geographical trends. This module takes about 20 minutes to complete.

2. The Survey module : an anonymous questionnaire sent to partners/spouses of mobile employees, mobile employees (expatriates, short term assignees, commuters, permanent transfers), and corporate professionals in charge of International Mobility, Talent Management and Compensation & Benefits. The companies from the Magellan Network will not have to share the list of your mobile employees nor partners/spouses, as the Survey module is accessible by a single hyperlink which NetExpat will provide to you, to be distributed internally. This module takes about 20 minutes to complete.

By participating to both the Benchmark and the Survey modules, companies from the Magellan Network will have the unique opportunity to understand in depth all aspects linked to relocating partners/spouses, and you will have the possibility to leverage the results to benchmark your own policy’s parameters.

We would be delighted to have all the company members of the Magellan Network and their mobile employees and/or partners/spouses participate in the survey. What do you think?

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
