[ILA] East cost port strike , 04/10/2024

We are pleased to report that The International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) agreed to suspend its strike,which had shut down major East and Gulf Coast ports, after port employers raised their wage offer.

The ILA announced a tentative agreement onwages and its 45,000 members would return to work, continuing the existing contract until Jan. 15. The union and employers will continue negotiating other unresolved issues.
