3 questions for Manon Billaud
International Mobility Manager, Groupe Atlantic
What is your background?
I've been working for the Group for eight years in the field of international human resources and International Mobility. I joined as a graduate trainee. And then I very quickly joined the international HR team because the Group was experiencing strong international growth.
I held several positions. My last position was as regional HR manager. It was a job where I travelled regularly and provided support to the site HR and the site manager on implementing the site's HR policy.
I'm now Head of International Mobility at , where I started with a major structuring project to put in place the Group's international mobility policy.
What motivates you the most in this profession?
What motivates me most today is that every case of International Mobility is unique and different.
Each time, we have to ask ourselves how it is implemented, because it raises questions about both employment law and tax and social security law. So an answer that is true one day may be completely different the next, particularly with changing regulations.
So it's true that it's a daily enrichment to be able to actually practice International Mobility.
What are your main challenges?
So I would say that there are two issues currently within the Group and perhaps also more globally. The first is that new forms of International Mobility are emerging. Initially we were much more focused on long-term policies, but increasingly we are moving towards short-term policies.
So that's the first challenge we are going to face within the Group. And the second is to also develop more synergies between Talent Management and International Mobility to better anticipate mobility.
What is your hidden talent?
So I have a hidden talent, but it's not very useful. I'm very good at guessing the names of my friends' future babies. But it's a talent that isn't much use on a day-to-day basis.
